We offer full-time and part-time programs, and scholarships are available.

Tucked in a warm pita, it’s adorned with fresh veggies, tangy tzatziki sauce, and sometimes feta cheese, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. In this class, you will learn to make homemade flat bread filled with lamb and tzatziki sauce.

This course is conducted by the Cape Lookout Squadron of the United States Power Squadrons. It will provide basic boating knowledge education, including both Federal and North Carolina State required education. A traditional classroom education format will be used. Learning is facilitated with use of the America’s Boating Course student manual (included in cost), nautical teaching aids, and supportive PowerPoint (PPT) visual aids. The 16-hour program spans two Saturdays, beginning at 8 am and ending at 4 pm. Instruction gives you the basics you need to enjoy your time on the water safely and includes navigation, nautical charts, digital charting, and chart plotting. This format meets the standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the National Association of Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA).
