The Entrepreneur Academy for Aspiring and Current EntrepreneursDesigned to prepare aspiring entrepreneurs for business ownership and help current business owners sharpen their focus. Alternative Access to CapitalThis is a free seminar offered at the Bosch & Siemens AMC room 102 on Jan. 18 at 1–3 p.m. for start-up and current business owners that are seeking a source of financing for their business that have been unsuccessful in qualifying for traditional bank loan underwriting. This is a chance to meet with and listen to the offerings of ten lenders that want to provide financing for business hopefuls and business owners. The seminar is offered jointly by the Director of the Small Business Center and the Senior Area Manager of the Small Business Administration. International Business SeminarsThis is an all-day seminar offered on Feb. 23 starting at 9 a.m. for business owners to learn about sales opportunities in the international market-place. An opportunity to explore practices that can lead to global sales growth. The seminar will be conducted by international marketing professionals from the U.S. Small Business Administration and global sales experts from the United States and North Carolina Departments of Commerce who specialize in international trade and finance. If you are the owner or sales executive for your company and believe local product sales have topped out, then this international seminar is the place to be to hear about new selling opportunities. The cost of this seminar is $70 that includes a working lunch. You must pre-register for this seminar: SBC Class Registration. This seminar is limited to 20 attendees.
