Craven Community College offers 47 associate degree programs that all meet the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) standard of a minimum of sixty four hours. Credit hour requirements are described in the NCCCS Curriculum Standards. New programs are governed by the sixty-four hour minimum, which is monitored by the Academic Council locally, and by the state system through the Curriculum Review Committee, which must approve all new programs.

Program length is sufficient for student mastery of subject matter as evidenced by several evaluative measures.
