Craven Community College has been in continuous operation and has seen significant growth since it was established in 1965. At present, Craven Community College has approximately 3,000 students enrolled each term in programs that result in associate degrees, diplomas and certificates.
Craven Community College is a member of the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) and one of 58 state community colleges. College enrollment is validated through annual audits conducted by the NCCCS. Enrollment is reported by the NCCCS by program and also through reports on degrees, diplomas and certificates conferred by the College.
The number of graduates in all degree, diploma, and certificate programs can be found in the Craven Community College Fact Book, which is updated annually and is on the College's Website. The College's enrollment data is submitted to the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and North Carolina's Higher Education Data System (NCHEDS). Graduation is held annually at which time degrees, diplomas and certificates are conferred.
