Directions to connect your laptop to CCC wireless
Turn on your laptop.
After your laptop has booted, wait for the "Wireless Networks Detected" message:
Double click on this message.
After double clicking the previous message, this is the window you should see:
If the text to the right of "Craven WiFi" says "Connected", you are already connected to the wireless network. If it says Manual, click on it and then choose "Connect".
Start the Internet Explorer web browser.
You may get a notification about the websites security certificate, ignore the notification and click on continue to this website.
The webpage you should see now is the login page to the wireless network.
To create and account, click on the link that says " Create One here"
At this time, if you have any pop-up blockers installed on your computer, you need to either disable the pop-up blocker or add the IP Address 10.61.32.1 to allow pop-ups. If you do not do this, your connection to CCC's Wireless network will time out after fifteen minutes
Fill out the registration page.
In the Category area, choose whether you are a student, faculty, staff, our a guest of CCC
You must use a password that is at least six alpha/numerical characters long
When you are done filling out the registration page, click on the register button. By clicking on the register button, you are agreeing to abide by Craven Community College's Acceptable use Policy.
After clicking the register button, you will see the following page:
Please wait patiently for the login page to load
Login in to the wireless with the email address and password you just entered on the previous registration page.
After you login, you will see this Pop-up window:
This window must remain open to stay connect to the Wireless Network.
You can now Access the Internet from your laptop
You will not be able to print or connect to any of CCC's internal network services.
