Gift of Securities

Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds or other securities allow you to make substantial gifts to Craven at a minimal cost. You will receive a tax deduction based on the value of the security on the date of the gift and will avoid paying no capital gains tax on the appreciation.

Gifts of Real and Personal Property

Gifts of real estate and other personal property are an excellent way to support Craven and its students while lowering your tax liability at the same time. These gifts will provide you with a charitable deduction and other tax savings including capital gains, income tax and federal estate taxes. You can also deed property to the College, while retaining the lifetime right of occupancy.

Matching Gifts

Numerous corporations will match employees’ charitable contributions by often doubling the amount of the original gift. Some companies will even match gifts made by retired employees.

• Legacy & Promise Circle (over $2,500)
• Business Leadership Circle ($1,000 to $5,000, each year for three years)
• Deans Circle ($500 - $999)
• Scholars Circle ($250 - $499)
• Ambassadors Circle ($101 - $249)
• Friends of the College (up to $100)
