The Craven Community College Foundation is here to help you achieve your educational goals! Thanks to the generosity of donors, we are able to offer scholarships to qualified students who need financial assistance to achieve their dreams.

Here’s how we can help…

Foundation Scholarships are available at Craven!
Each year, individuals, groups and civic organizations in the community make financial contributions to the Craven Community College Foundation to help qualified students pay for their tuition and books. Scholarships generally do not have to be repaid; however, there is an application process.

The criteria for scholarships vary. Some are based partly on financial need, while others are based on a student’s interest in a specific field or his or her interest in further education and scholastic achievement.

Why do I need to complete a scholarship application?

The application provides the college with more detail about each applicant’s affiliation/activities and ambitions upon graduation. You must submit your completed application to the Financial Aid Office by the deadline date listed on the college’s website to be eligible for the following academic year.

What are tips on filling out a scholarship application and writing an essay?

It is important to be honest and truthful on any application. Always take the opportunity to attach an additional sheet and provide more detailed information about yourself in order for the college to get to know the person you are and wish to become.
