What is the Lifetime Learning Center?

You won't find a sign for the Lifetime Learning Center on one of Craven Community College's tan brick buildings. Instead, the Lifetime Learning Center is a concept-based program that embraces older adults who are seeking multiple and diverse opportunities in learning for the pure pleasure or it!

We are keenly aware that our community is brimming with individuals, both natives and newcomers, who have completed their formal education and professional careers, but are still active and hungry for interesting and diverse learning experiences.

Lifetime Learning Center Programs

The Lifetime Learning Center provides adult learners with numerous unique opportunities to learn about history, culture, arts and more.

• Explorations: The International Film Series
• Explorations: The Lecture Series
• Statewide day-trips to theaters for theatrical, opera, ballet and Broadway productions, to museums for major exhibitions and throughout the state for visits to many of North Carolina's cultural resources
• Overnight trips to historic towns and landmarks in North Carolina and beyond
• International trips
