Need to do some heavy-duty research, but can't make it to the library?  Then, use our electronic resources. It's like having a library through your computer!  When you use our databases, you'll get access to:

  • Hundreds of thousands of articles from respected publications
  • A variety of online encyclopedias
  • In-depth coverage of issues and controversies in the news.
  • Classic literature and poetry, plus literary critiques
  • Thousands of pictures of famous artwork

The best part is that any student or faculty member who has one of our library cards can use these databases off campus.  You'll just need a username and password, which you can get in one of three ways:

  1. Stopping by the library in person
  2. Calling the library at (252) 638-7272
  3. Sending an e-mail to libraryc@cravencc.edu

Again, you must be a student or faculty member AND have a current library card.

Once you have your username and password, come back to this page and click the title of the resource you wish to use.  Enter your username/password, and you're all set!  For detailed instructions on how to use each resource, click the how to use this database link.  (NOTE: The instruction pages for some of our resources are still under construction.  For immediate help using those resources, use the contact information listed above.)
