Program Description

The Mechanical Engineering Technology - Drafting and Design degree enables students to enter a broad range of fields supporting the use of CAD, drafting, design, solid modeling and 3D printing. Students in the program:

• Learn skills employers are seeking
• Get hands-on labs to reinforce the theory
• Learn the principles of design
• Can earn a certificate in CAD
• Become eligible for positions as draftsmen, designers, product developers and engineering technicians

Craven Community College's Mechanical Engineering Technology - Drafting and Design program has a primary focus of developing practical drafting and design skills starting from board drawing to computer-aided drafting and solid modeling.
