Associate in ScienceThis degree program transfers to colleges and universities as the first two years of a Bachelor in Science degree. The Associate in Science degree emphasizes math and science. The degree has three parts: an academic skills course, a 44-semester hour general education core, and 20 semester hours of electives. The general education core is designed to give students a broad understanding of English, fine arts/humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, and natural sciences. The electives allow the individual to develop depth and breadth in the areas of math and science.
This degree program is part of the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA).

Associate in Science with a Pre-Major in EngineeringIn addition to the general Associate in Science degree, Craven Community College offers an Associate in Science degree with a Pre-major in Engineering that is part of the CAA. Craven also partners with North Carolina State University (NCSU) in a 2+2 engineering program.
