Associate in General Education |
This degree program is designed for students who wish a generalized degree for personal enrichment or to meet individual career goals. The degree has three parts: an academic skills course, a 15-to-16-semester hour general education core, and 48-to-49 semester hours of electives. The general education core is designed to give students a basic understanding of English, fine arts/humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and mathematics/natural sciences. The electives offer the opportunity to combine college-transferable Arts and Sciences courses with Health & Human Services and Industrial & Business courses to meet specific job-related needs or personal interests.
This degree does not transfer to colleges or universities. However, Arts and Sciences courses taken within the General Education degree are transferable on a course-by-course basis.
