Academic Skills (1 Semester Hour Credit)

General Education Core (44 Semester Hours Credit)
The general education core includes study in the areas of humanities and fine arts, social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences and mathematics, and English composition. Within the core, the college includes opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and the basic use of computers.

English Composition (6 SHC)

Humanities/Fine Arts (12 SHC)
Select four courses.   One course must be a fine arts. One must be a humanities (drama, foreign language, humanities, philosophy, or religion).  One course must be a literature course. The fourth can be from any category.

Social/Behavioral Sciences (12 SHC)
Select four courses from at least three discipline areas. One course must be a history course. PSY 150 is required.

Natural Sciences (8 SHC)
Select two courses, including accompanying laboratory work, from the biological and physical science disciplines. 

Mathematics (6 SHC)
Select one course from each of the following lists:
