History Pre-Major (A1010H)
Most Bachelor in Arts in History degrees require 12 semester hours credit in a second language; students should begin this study as early as possible. Students attending UNC-system universities should take no more than 12 shc of history courses at the community college.
Students who wish a bachelor's degree in Political Science or in Social Sciences Secondary Education should note the recommended courses in the General Education Core and the Other Hours section of this degree plan. General Education Core (44 Semester Hours Credit) The general education core includes study in the areas of humanities and fine arts, social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences and mathematics, and English composition. Within the core, the college includes opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and the basic use of computers.
