GENERAL INFORMATION

Enrollment:
|
|
The Craven Fire & Rescue College is planned for a maximum of 500 participants with maximums for each course varying accordingly. Enrollment will be based on a first come, first served basis. Every effort will be made to accommodate the participant's choices. Students should complete and return the registration forms indicating their 1st, 2nd, 3rd,and/or 4th choices of classes,including their proper fee(s). In the event that is impossible to comply with the wishes of the participant they will be called to make another choice. There will NOT be return telephonic confirmation if you received one (or more) of your main choices, nor will you receive written notification by mail. Please ensure that your registration form is completely legible.

***Classes beginning on Friday - attendance is mandatory - you will not be allowed in class on Saturday if you do not attend on Friday.***
|
|
|
|
Students are requested to go directly to the appropriate classrooms Friday evening or morning. Class rosters, room numbers, and directions will be posted at the main seminar entrance at the Brock Administration building (Building B). Please look for your class title and room number upon arrival.
|
|
|
|
Special Note - UNDERAGERS: Firefighters under age 18, but at least 16 years of age, even those from Craven County, must have a letter of release attached to the pre-registration form to participate in this training. Students without such proper release or authorization will not be allowed to participate.

|
Fees:
|
|
The enrollment fee is $30, which includes (2) meals. Note: Anyone who is not at active member of a North Carolina fire department, rescue squad, or law enforcement agency must pay an additional registration fee of $50 - $60 depending on the course hours. Refunds must be requested; they are not automatic. Refunds must be requested NLT September 5th; No refunds will be authorized after this date to allow for class scheduling. Classes cancelled due to insufficient enrollment will receive automatic refunds.

All classes and registration will be held at Craven Community College's New Bern campus. Some classes with field exercises will be held off-campus. Students are responsible for their own transportation.

Accommodations:
|
|
Craven Community College does not have the facilities for overnight lodging, but there are a number of fine motels in the area. (See list below maps). Participants are responsible for their own lodging arrangements. The host motel is the Bridgepointe Inn and Marina, New Bern ($78.95, includes tax) - call (252) 636-3637 by Sep 12th to receive this rate.
