We are keenly aware that our community is brimming with individuals, both natives and newcomers, who have completed their formal education and professional careers, but are still active and hungry for interesting and diverse learning experiences.
Lifetime Learning Center Programs The Lifetime Learning Center provides adult learners with numerous unique opportunities to learn about history, culture, arts and more, in an arena that includes and reaches beyond the classroom.
Classes are offered in the following categories Self-Supporting
All Lifetime Learning Center classes and programs are run as "self-supporting," which means that all participants pay a registration fee to cover the costs of operating and administering the programs. No one is exempt from the payment of fees for self-supporting programs.
Special Notice regarding "Senior Exempt" programs: In the past, Craven Community College Continuing Education has been pleased to offer a number of Senior Exempt classes that were open to all adults and free to Senior Citizens. The funds to support Senior Exempt programs were provided each year to Craven Community College in the form of a grant from the state of North Carolina. This year the State of North Carolina did not provide grant funding for this purpose and therefore we regret that we will not be offering Senior Exempt classes at this time.
