Ground School for Pilots - NB

This 60-hour classroom course includes study of aerospace history, weather, navigation, instruments, pre-flight planning, computer and wind triangulation, regulations, radio communications, the aviation field and procedures necessary to become a safe pilot.  Classes are oriented toward the latest material available from the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA).  Students completing this course are prepared to pass the required FAA written examination.  Text materials include the Jeppesen Private Pilot Kit.  Class offered at Craven Regional Airport (CRA) through Tradewind Aviation.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to assist pharmacists by filing prescriptions prescribed by health care professionals.  Under the supervision of a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician assists in various activities that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist, including maintaining patient records; setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses; and filling and dispensing routine orders for stock supplies.  This course also prepares students to take the national certification exam, this is an option for students, there is a testing fee paid to the National Association.  Testing sites are in various areas around the state.
