Adult Enrichment Classes

Summer 2005

Adult Enrichment Classes provide an opportunity for students to add to their quality of life. Registration fees include total weeks for each course. Pre-registration is required for all classes and some are pre-pay. Supplies are not included and no senior exemptions or refunds apply.

Art of Colored Pencils - NB

The class will learn basic techniques of using colored pencils including shading.

Porcelain Art Class (Beginner) - NB *NEW

Porcelain painting is one of the oldest forms of art. Beginners do not need to know how to draw! Brush strokes will be taught and all designs can be painted on a traced pattern. This class is very basic and designed for those who have never picked up a paintbrush. For those who have experienced other mediums, the instructor can accommodate a more experienced artist as well. Come experience the beautiful art of porcelain painting and create gifts and treasures for your family and friends.

Quilting (Red and Blue it is up to you) –NB *NEW

A great class offered for the beginner and experienced quilt. This is a techniques class in Red or Blue work designed to create a small family heirloom piece for a beginner or a larger piece for a more experienced quilter. In this class the student will learn simple hand embroidery techniques and observe simple machine embroidery possibilities. Also touched upon will be easy appliqué and patchwork to further enhance the finished project. Knowledge of how to operate a sewing machine is helpful.
