Your web browser's default cached file settings may prevent your logging into a web site ( i.e. Blackboard or webmail) .
If you have attempted to login to Blackboard or Webmail (Staff or CSC) and you know you have a userid and password that has worked, before or should be working, now.....check your browser cached file settings in Internet Explorer 5 or 6 or Netscape 4.7 or higher . Your web browser cached file settings may not be allowing you to retrieve a fresh copy of a web page or send a new login request, on every attempt.
What you may not know about cached files and web browsers..... EVERY installation of Internet Explorer or Netscape uses DEFAULT settings that ALLOW cached web pages. The DEFAULT setting is intended to make web page rendering FASTER for users who are using slower internet connections, such as dial up or 56k modem connections.

Be sure Internet Explorer is set to "Check for newer versions of stored pages, Every visit to the page". If it is NOT set to this option, CHANGE it to this option. Click OK to accept the change you just made in Internet Explorer.
