Academic Class Registration
Registration
All students are strongly urged to register during the registration periods preceding the term they plan to enroll. (See Academic Calendar / Class Schedules for dates and times.)
Registration Procedures
1. During registration, schedule a meeting with your academic advisor to register for classes. If you are unsure who your advisor is, you can stop by or contact Student Services at (252) 638-7227, the Havelock campus at (252) 444-6005 or the Cherry Point branch office at (252) 444-6000.
2. You and your advisor will plan your schedule for the upcoming semester. At this time, he/she will register you for your classes.
3. If you have an unpaid fine or an incomplete admissions file, you will be directed to the appropriate office to resolve this matter. Your advisor will complete your schedule on a Permit to Register form that you will take to the Office of Records and Registration where you will be registered for your classes.
4. If you wish to audit a class, your advisor will complete your schedule on a Permit to Register form that you will take to the Office of Records and Registration, Brock Administration building, room 106, where you will be registered for your classes.
5. After your schedule is entered into the computer, you will go to Cashier's Window, Brock Bldg, room to pick up your schedule and pay your tuition and fees.

Transcripts
Craven Community College holds all student records in confidence. Placement credentials, transcripts, and other pertinent information will be made available only upon request of the student. The student must sign a statement authorizing release before a transcript will be sent to other colleges, employers, or other agencies.
Transcripts cannot be released by e-mail. Federal law requires all schools to obtain the student's signature to release such records.
All financial obligations to the College must be cleared prior to releasing a transcript.
The first transcript is free. All subsequent transcripts are $1.00. Checks should be made payable to Craven Community College.

How to request transcripts from Other Colleges ....
If you have attended another college or university, Craven Community College requires transcripts before your application for admission can be processed. To request a transcript from another institution, print, complete, sign and mail this form . If you prefer, you may go directly to the institution's website to obtain their transcript request form. Remember, forms require your signature, although many institutions will accept a fax copy.
Payment for transcripts ranges from $2 to $10 and should accompany the request for transcript. Otherwise, there will be a delay in processing, which could complicate your registration or employability at Craven Community College. If you have trouble locating your previous institution, please contact Student Services at 638-7227.

Graduation
Degrees, diplomas, and certificates are awarded at graduation exercises following the end of spring semester. (See Academic Calendar for dates.)
Graduation Requirements
1. The minimum number of course credit hours prescribed in the chosen program of study has been completed.
2. A student receiving an Associate Degree must complete a minimum of 25 percent of the respective program credit hours at Craven Community College.
3. All courses have been completed with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
4. Students who desire to graduate from Craven Community College must meet all graduation requirements within three years from the last term enrolled as a Craven Community College Student.
5. All financial obligations to the College have been met.
Graduation Procedures
1. Meet with your advisor to determine if you have met all graduation requirements.
2. Complete the "Application for Graduation" form, have it signed by your advisor, and submit it to the Records and Registration Office in the Brock Administration Building. (See Academic Calendar for application deadlines.)
3. Pay for your diploma in the College Bookstore.
4. Pick up your diploma after the Dean of Records certifies that you have met all graduation requirements (you will be notified by letter).
