Colleagues...I just met with Cabinet today and discussed the plan going forward with Dr. Maria's departure. She and I mutually agreed in May to go in a different direction. I am most appreciative of the positive things that Dr. Maria brought to the College during her tenure with us.

At this time I have decided not to do an external search for a variety of reasons. I believe the attached organizational structure is least disruptive, cost effective and it will provide for much needed collaboration between Academic Affairs and Student Services. As noted on the graphic all Centers remain in tact with only a few minor changes.

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Daryl Minus will become Executive Vice President for Learning and Student Success and Ms. Kathleen Gallman will become Special Assistant to the EVP effective July 1st. Both of these individuals have demonstrated strong leadership in their respective areas and I am extremely pleased we have their talents at Craven. FYI...Daryl will reside in the office next to mine and Kathleen will be relocated to the Administrative Suite. Gale, Gladys and Vickie remain in their important support roles in the office.

Please join me in congratulating Daryl and Kathleen! We look forward to their leadership and support for all faculty and staff within the Unit and the College....catherine
