POSITION TO BE FILLED: Accounting Assistant
FULL OR PART TIME: Full-Time
JOB DESCRIPTION: Accounting Assistant
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or business management with two years related experience or six years related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Community College experience is preferred. Experience with Datatel (Colleague) is preferred. Will perform various accounting duties including accounts receivable, accounts payable, provide backup to the head cashier and other areas of the business office as needed. Will assist accounts payable by processing payment request, such as student refunds, travel reimbursements, and advances; assist student registration by collecting tuition and applicable fees and serves as receptionist for the business office.

SALARY LEVEL: College Salary Plan Level 7: $29,796 - $37,248
SELECTION PROCESS: All completed applications that meet the minimum requirements are referred to a screening committee. The committee selects candidates for interview and then recommends the top candidates to the divisional Vice President. The divisional Vice President in turn, will make a recommendation for employment to the President. The President will make the final hiring decision. The Human Resource Office will notify all applicants when a position has been filled. All applications will remain active for one year should other openings occur.
