JOB DESCRIPTION: Aerospace Manufacturing & Repair Faculty - 12 months - Re-advertised

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalency. Five years experience/training in aerospace manufacturing and/or repair techniques including the fabrication and assembly of advanced composite (carbon fiber) based aerospace structures.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Full-time faculty ensure the quality and integrity of the College's academic programs. Basic faculty functions include curriculum design, development, and evaluation; teaching; identification and assessment of appropriate student learning outcomes; and institutional and professional service. The preferred candidate will have community college teaching experience and familiarity with computer based instruction. Teaching assignments may be at either the New Bern or Havelock campuses and may include day, evening, weekend, and on-line courses.

SALARY LEVEL: According to College Plan, Level 15: $48,600 - $68,600

SELECTION PROCESS: All completed applications that meet the minimum requirements are referred to a screening committee. The committee selects candidates for interview and then recommends the top candidates to the divisional Vice President. The divisional Vice President in turn, will make a recommendation for employment to the President. The President will make the final hiring decision. The Human Resource Office will notify all applicants when a position has been filled. All applications will remain active for one year should other openings occur.
