POSITION TO BE FILLED: Accountant
FULL OR PART TIME: Full-Time
JOB DESCRIPTION: Accountant
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or business management and five years related experience or bachelor's degree with eight years higher level accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Community College experience is preferred. Experience with Datatel (Colleague) is preferred. Will provide administrative support to the Controller and perform a variety of diversified duties involving the exercise of independent judgment in accordance with established procedures; perform duties related to budgeting and accounting transactions, preparing and verifying of reports, and assisting with the entire accounting system with limited supervision.

SALARY LEVEL: College Salary Plan Level 11: $37,536 - $46,920
SELECTION PROCESS: All completed applications that meet the minimum requirements are referred to a screening committee. The committee selects candidates for interview and then recommends the top candidates to the divisional Vice President. The divisional Vice President in turn, will make a recommendation for employment to the President. The President will make the final hiring decision. The Human Resource Office will notify all applicants when a position has been filled. All applications will remain active for one year should other openings occur.
