JOB DESCRIPTION: Director of Aviation Programs (12 months), Havelock-Cherry Point Campus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licensure required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years of teaching or training experience in civilian aviation maintenance environment. Computer competency.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Provides leadership and oversight for Aviation programs including staffing, scheduling, and budget management. Ensures compliance of FAR 147 requirments to maintain quality and integrity of Aviation programs. Builds and maintains external relationships with education and industry partners. Performs basic faculty functions including curriculum design, development, and evaluation; teaching; identification and assessment of appropriate student learning outcomes; student advising; and institutional and professional service.

SALARY LEVEL: According to College Salary Plan

SELECTION PROCESS: All completed applications that meet the minimum requirements are referred to a screening committee. The committee selects candidates for interview and then recommends the top candidates to the divisional Vice President. The divisional Vice President in turn, will make a recommendation for employment to the President. The President will make the final hiring decision. The Human Resource Office will notify all applicants when a position has been filled. All applications will remain active for one year should other openings occur.
