POSITION TO BE FILLED: History Instructor
FULL OR PART TIME: Part-Time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in history or a master's with 18 graduate hours (gsh) in history.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Prior teaching experience preferably at the post-secondary level in history. Responsible for teaching students who have varying backgrounds and skill levels and other duties. Must be able to work as a team member and must possess an understanding of and a commitment to the unique role of the community college.
Teaching assignments may be at either the New Bern or Havelock campuses and may include day, evening, weekend, and on-line courses.

SALARY LEVEL: According to College Salary Plan
SELECTION PROCESS: All completed applications that meet the minimum requirements are referred to a screening committee. The committee selects candidates for interview and then recommends the top candidates to the divisional Vice President. The divisional Vice President in turn, will make a recommendation for employment to the President. The President will make the final hiring decision. The Human Resource Office will notify all applicants when a position has been filled. All applications will remain active for one year should other openings occur.
