PREFACE

The Fact Book is a compilation of information about Craven Community College. The Fact Book is not intended to be a book of statistics, but a book of pertinent information concerning Craven Community College. Information was provided from various departments as well as from numerous publications, agencies, and NCCCS Data Warehouse. The data displays are designed to make the information understandable and meaningful. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information.

In most cases, the time period for statistical data covered by this Fact Book is 2002-2003. It is often necessary to wait until a designated year has ended to obtain an accurate compilation of all corresponding data. Therefore, the most current information is not always available at the time of publication.

 
 

 

Mission Statement

Craven Community College , a public two-year college with an open-door admissions policy, provides programs to meet the diverse needs of individuals through a variety of delivery systems, including distance education, by providing:

  • education, training, and retraining for the workforce; basic skills and literacy education; occupational and college transfer programs

  • services to and partnership with business and industry to promote economic development in a global environment

  • services to communities and individuals to enrich the quality of life
