Continuing EducationContinuing Education offers a variety of courses for occupational training for employment skills, academic improvement and avocational interests. This includes courses for re-certification of professionals in various vocations, upgrading of technical skills and initial training in skill areas. These occupational courses result in the awarding of CEUs (Continuing Education Units).
Continuing Education, through the Dean of Arts & Sciences, provides the GED/AHS Program, which leads to the High School Equivalency Certificate and the Adult High School Diploma for adults who lack a high school diploma. Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), as well as Compensatory Education for mentally handicapped adults (CompEd) courses of instruction also are provided to enhance basic math, reading and writing skills. Lifetime Learning/Community Service programs provide a variety of courses to enrich adults' personal, cultural and professional lives. The following departments make up Continuing Education:

- Lifetime Learning/Community Services
All full-time personnel are under the supervision of the Associate Vice President for Instruction. Part-time instructors are supervised directly by the specific Coordinator of the program in which they are employed. Qualifying credentials for part-time instructors are maintained within the division.
